Sales Specialist

Manage office leads, self-generate leads and build a network of referral businesses to offer roofing, gutter, window, and siding services to the Central Virginia region. Perform free roof inspections to identify storm damage from wind, hail, or tree falls. Prepare and present roof, gutter, window, and siding estimates. Provide assistance and leadership to our operations teams to ensure a 5-Star Customer experience. Work with customers and their home insurance carriers to obtain coverages for the repair of property damages.

A Virginia Class A contractor, fully licensed and insured and certified to install CertainTeed, Firestone, and Duro-Last commercial roofing products. Job Description

General Definition Of Work

Perform inspections, provide estimates and project manage jobs to completion.

Description Of Duties

  • Attend all roof inspections and estimates on time.

  • Climb ladders, access attics, and walk roofs to survey for storm damage.

  • Run in-home sales appointments and pursue referral business.

  • Self-generate leads by canvassing and networking.

  • Providing competent construction consultation

  • Effectively sell the company’s services to homeowners in a competitive atmosphere by understanding the customers’ needs and selling to satisfy those needs.

  • Follow up with customers after installation to get feedback and referrals.

  • Maintain consistent follow-up procedures on all open bids.

  • Strive to target and market to the most profitable jobs

  • Prioritize work and actions to achieve established sales goals

  • Participate in networking groups to establish business relationships and promote the company.

  • Maintain an organized workflow using the company's web-based CRM platform.

  • Set and achieve goals for sales volumes, closing rates, and gross profits.


  • Maintains regular communication with the owners, staff, and field personnel, working cooperatively to develop methods and systems that are most effective for growing the business.

  • Maintain the company's reputation of integrity and professionalism by professionally communicating with customers, being punctual for appointments, returning phone calls promptly, etc.

  • Remit detailed labor orders for each sold job to ensure proper installation.

  • Communicate with all employees in a positive and respectful manner
